I. TITLES OF CHRIST

     A. JEHOVAH OF O.T. IS TRINITY & SO IS CHRIST

                be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his

          5. Christ is made the believer's righteousness Jer 23:5 Behold,

     B. ELOHIM = HEBREW WORD FOR GOD

          1. Isa.40:3 speaks of Christ as Jehovah & Elohim    The voice

                of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of

                the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our

                God.

               a. See Mr 1:1-3  The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ,

                     the Son of God; 2 As it is written in the prophets, Behold,

                     I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare

                     thy way before thee. 3 The voice of one crying in the

                     wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his

                     paths straight.

          2. Gen.1:1 is Elohim or Christ = God of Creation

          2. Also given other names = Redeemer, Righteous Branch,
               Righteous servant, Seed of the woman, Shiloh, Son of God, 
                Star out of Israel, Sure Foundation.

II. ANGEL OF THE LORD

     A. THE APPEARANCES OF GOD IN O.T. WAS REALLY

          CHRIST

          1. Joh 1:18  No man hath seen God at any time; the only
               begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath 
               declared him. Joh 5:37   And the Father himself, which hath

                sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his

                voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

          2. The spirit nor Father revealed themselves, Son did

          3. Is logical, same person of Trinity appear O.& N.T.

          4. Is not mention of Angel f Lord after incarnation

               a. Angle of Lord became incarnate

     B. WHEN ANGEL OF THE LORD SPOKE, WAS

          IDENTIFIED AS THE LORD

          1. To Hagar = Gen.16:6-13,

          2. Sacrifice of Isaac = Gen.22:15-18

          3. Gen.48:15-16 = Angel of Lord & God interchangeable

          4. Zech.1:12-13 = Angel of Lord shown be distinct

               person from Jehovah

     A. THE O.T. IS INEXHAUSTIBLE SUPPLY TYPES OF

          CHRIST

          1. Adam, Abel, Aaron, Boaz, Benjamin, David, Isaac, Joseph,

                Joshua, Melchizadek, Moses, and others

          2. Noah's ark, The Rock Moses struck, Manna, Aaron's rod that

                budded, Brazen Serpent, Tabernacle, Temple sacrifices,

                Priesthood, Feasts, Cities of Refuge

IV. MESSIANIC PROPHECY

     A. THE O.T. PRESENTS CHRIST IN EVERY BOOK

          1. Many predictions fulfilled Christ's first advent

          2. Others await His second advent

          3. The messianic prophecies are legion in number

V. HIS BIRTH

     A. THE MESSIANIC LIFE IS TRACED FROM ADAM &

          EVE (GEN.3:15)

          1. Through Seth (Gen.4:25), Noah (Gen 6:9, Abraham

               (Gen.12:1-3), Isaac, Jacob, Judah, Boaz, Jesse, David.

          2. Genealogy in Matthew 1 & Luke 3 complete the lists

     B. MICAH.5:2 = Says Christ be born in Bethlehem of Judah  

     C. Isa.7:14 = makes known He would be born of virgin from

          the royal family of David

     D. Gen.49:10 Occurred before destruction Jewish government

     E. DAN.9:24-27 Messiah crucified 483 yrs from commandment

          to rebuild Jerusalem

VI. CHRIST AS THE SAVIOUR = NEVER BUT ONE WAY

     SAVING LOST SINNER

     A. SALVATION HAS ALWAYS BEEN BY GRACE

          THROUGH FAITH

          1. Rom.4:1-16, Abraham and David verify

     C. SACRIFICES NOT SAVE (HEB.10:4)

          1. Showed obedience & faith

     D. ALWAYS THERE HAVE BEEN REMNANT AND THEY

          SPOKE PLAINLY

          1. Job said "I know that my redeemer liveth (19:25)

          2. Jeremiah wrote "blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord,

               and whose hope the Lord is"

          3. David in Psa.2:12 "Blessed are all they that put their trust in

               Him "

          4. Again Psa.37:39-40 "But the salvation of the righteous is

                of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. {40}

                And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall

                deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they

                trust in him"

VII. DO YOU KNOW CHRIST OF OLD AND NEW

     TESTAMENTS?

     A. OF TIMOTHY IT IS WRITTEN 2 Tim 3:15 "And that from

           a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to

           make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ

          Jesus"   N.T. not written when he was a child

     B. CHRIST CAME TO FULFILL O.T.

          1. John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that

                Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye

               might have life through his name"
